I didn't start in tech, but I've always gravitated towards solving problems and building things from scratch. Software clicked as the place where curiosity meets creativity - the perfect marriage of my background as a Drama & Theatre graduate with years as a self-employed equities trader, where system design, iterative testing, and data-driven decisions were already part of the job.

I retrained at Northcoders in 2025, then moved into commercial work designing internal systems with JavaScript and Google Apps Script. Outside that role I founded SubOn - a full-stack SaaS platform for organising pickup football - taking it from architecture and auth through payments and deployment.

Earlier projects like Daily Spews, FoundIt, and SceneTogether taught me full-stack architecture, collaboration, and shipping for real users. Today I work across the stack - React, Next.js, Node, databases, and automation - always thinking about the person using the product and the developer who picks up the code next.
